Un endroit très beau constitué de plusieurs cottages conçus par un architecte en vue d'en faire des habitats autonomes en eau (récupération d'eau de pluie, chaque habitat a sa cuve ou ses deux cuves selon la taille) et en électricité (panneaux solaires partagés par l'ensemble de la propriété) et un traitement de l'eau à l'aide de vers de terre (worm farm).
Il y a un potager conduit par Suzi en permaculture, des poules ainsi qu'un grand verger en terrasse sur le terrain en pente. Duncan travaille le bois dans un abri et répare/rénove/crée des meubles et d'autres objets utiles.
Le reste de la propriété est principalement constituée de forêt conservée comme pour le parc national adjacent pour la vie sauvage.
Duncan et Suzi sont des personnes très accueillantes, qui aiment faire les choses par eux-mêmes et manger sainement. Ils accueillent régulièrement des woofers dans de superbes conditions très confortables et nous ont fait partager leur quotidien rythmé par l'entretien des cottages et les travaux sur la propriété.
It is a beautiful place composed of several cottages, designed by an architect in order to make them self-sufficient in water (one or two rainwater collecting tanks depending on the size of it) and electricity (solar pannels shared amongst the whole property), a worm farm to treat the used waters.
There is a veggie garden and chooks conducted in permaculture by Suzi as well as an orchard placed on terraces due to the slope of the land. Duncan works the wood in a shed and repairs/renovates/creates furniture and other useful things.
The rest of the property is mainly constituted by forest preserved as the adjacent national park for wild life.
Duncan and Suzi are very welcoming people, love to do things by themselves and to eat healthy. They welcome regularly woofers in amazing and comfortable conditions and let us share their daily life organised around the cottage keeping and the works on the property.
